Blending radical looks with remarkable performance, the Concept EQ heralds a new dawn in all-electric, emission-free motoring. First revealed at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, this ground-breaking vehicle boasts a powerful electric drive system featuring two electric motors, scalable battery components, and an output of up to 300kW. With permanent all-wheel drive and a range of up to 310* miles, it also delivers all the safety, comfort, functionality, and connectivity you expect from a Mercedes-Benz.

The muscular presence of an SUV with the dynamism of a coupé, the Concept EQ showcases a dramatic new “electro-look” design language. Central to this is the signature front grille, a glazed and illuminated black panel incorporating the headlamps, Mercedes-Benz star and a radiator-style design feature. Concealed door handles, cameras instead of exterior mirrors, and 21-inch alloy wheels further enhance the car’s unique, futuristic feel.

Inside, the Concept EQ offers a bold new take on contemporary luxury and driver-focused functionality. The minimalist, stripped-back interior is almost devoid of switches and buttons, preferring intuitive touch-based controls. Eye-catching design elements include ambient lighting and elegant rose gold trim throughout.

The Concept EQ has been developed as part of our EQ electric mobility programme, which aims to have 10 all-electric vehicles on the market by 2022. The EQ brand will offer a comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem with products ranging from all-electric vehicles to wallboxes, charging services and home energy storage units. Our first production all-electric vehicle, the EQC, will launch in 2019.
