If you have a telematics platform in place, you can review the data stored. If not, keep a record of your fleet’s mileage and fuel consumption over a typical month to measure usage patterns.  

Analyse your daily operations, taking into account mileage, routes taken, and operating hours. You may find it possible to install charging stations at your base of operations for affordable overnight charging. You could also review the routes your fleet takes to routinely visit fast charging stations. Exploring potential partnerships with energy and charging providers could also lead to more cost-effective solutions. 

Start with a pilot programme, integrating a few electric vehicles into your fleet. Gather data on their performance and driver feedback. Once established, move forward with a comprehensive rollout strategy that includes staff training, charging solutions, and a timeline tailored to your business needs.
