AMG rear axle steering
More agility: the rear axle steers in the opposite direction up to a speed of 100 km/h to virtually cut the wheelbase. More safety: from a speed of 100 km/h it steers in the same direction and thus virtually extends the wheelbase.
4MATIC+
The all-wheel drive variably links the rear axle to the front axle and thus guarantees ideal torque distribution. This enables gradually switching over between all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive.

Dynamic AMG engine mounts guarantee the best-possible connection between engine and body in any handling situation. The basic character of the setup is specified using the drive programs.

AMG 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine
Power you can feel proud about: the 4.0-litre V8 engine from Mercedes-AMG boasts explosive power generation, exceptional power output control and ultimate efficiency. Its twin-scroll turbochargers are installed very compactly in a 'Hot inside V' configuration – one that Mercedes-Benz were first to use in a production sports car. The benefits of this elegant engineering solution are far-reaching: optimum response times, extremely high pulling power (even at low revs), and improved emissions levels. A further feature of this trend-defining engine is that the cylinders shut off when power demand is low – reducing fuel consumption and emissions further still.
