Home Test Drive Terms and Conditions

  • Home test drive available in UK mainland and Isle of Wight.
  • Participating Retailers only.
  • Customers to be aged 25 and over.
  • Home test drives are unaccompanied and free of charge.
  • Available on new and used Mercedes-Benz cars on Online Showroom, excludes AMG and smart.
  • Customers will be able to test drive new car demonstrators and used cars.
  • Home test drive from customer’s home address, address as per customer’s driving license.
  • Available up to a maximum of 25 mile radius from Retailer site, exclusions will apply dependant on location.
  • Home test drive is for up to 25 minutes in duration, longer test drives may be able to be organised.
  • Customer to have full UK driving licence which will be checked in advance and on the day of the test drive.
  • Virtual consultation to be arranged with customer prior to day of test drive, to explain vehicle features.
  • Virtual consultation to be arranged post test drive, to discuss vehicle and next steps in sales process.
  • Home test drive will depend on availability of stock, staff and dealership discretion.
  • Available during normal Retailer opening hours.
  • Cars may be tracked with Mercedes-Me Connect and geo-fencing enabled.
  • Customers will be required to sign the Retailer’s normal test drive disclaimer prior to taking the home test drive. Form available on request.

Minimum Social Distancing and Hygiene Standards

  • All vehicles are thoroughly cleaned between every customer test drive
  • Pre-call by Retailer to arrange convenient date for home test drive
    • Opportunity to confirm whether anyone in the household is currently suffering from Coronavirus or self-isolating.
    • Explanation identity and driving license check will be completed prior to test drive.
    • Confirmation the home test drive will be conducted in accordance with social distancing guidelines at all times, in line with government guidance.
    • irtual consultation to provide full explanation of vehicle features and controls o Further pre-call by Retailer on the day of test drive to re-confirm.
    • If customer experiencing any Coronavirus symptoms, test drive will be re-scheduled.
  • 1 Retailer employee to keep at least 2 meters distance at all times.
  • Retailer employee will wear a new pair of protective gloves when vehicle is delivered to customer’s address. If available, a face mask should also be worn.
  • On arrival, the Retailer employee calls the customer, rather than approach the front door.
  • Driver will request to see customer’s driving licence to verify identity. This should be through a window, to maintain social distance.
  • Retailer employee will wipe down key surfaces (steering wheel, gear lever, stalks, door handles) with suitable disinfectant product and new clean cloth.
  • Keys are sanitised in front of customer and left on driver seat.
