Every bit as tough as its conventionalIy powered sibling, its drivetrain features four individually controlled electric motors located near the wheels. This innovative concept enables unique and useful functions for unmatched manoeuvrability on demanding terrain - just as a G-Class should.

The Mercedes-Benz toolkit of advanced technologies for all-electric drive includes the innovative axial-flux motor. Currently undergoing testing in the forthcoming all-electric Coupe and SUV from Mercedes-AMG, it's perfect for high-performance electric vehicles. It offers a significantly higher power density from a considerably smaller package, weighing just one third as much as a current radial motor with the same output.
