The Mercedes-Benz toolkit of advanced technologies for all-electric drive includes the innovative axial-flux motor. Currently undergoing testing in the forthcoming all-electric Coupe and SUV from Mercedes-AMG, it's perfect for high-performance electric vehicles. It offers a significantly higher power density from a considerably smaller package, weighing just one third as much as a current radial motor with the same output.
