Mercedes-Benz Service Select Programme – General Terms and Conditions.
Programme Coverage
1. The terms and conditions below are valid at the time of printing, however the terms which will be applied at the time of the respective workshop visit (repair order), will also apply to that visit. Please read these terms carefully before you agree to proceed. Participation in the Mercedes-Benz Service Select Programme (hereinafter referred to as “Programme”) is free of charge and begins upon the receipt of the participation certificate in the Mercedes-Benz Portal. To register for this programme and receive the participation certificate, the customer will require a Mercedes-Benz account and will need to follow the instructions therein to subscribe to ‘Service Select’.
2. Eligibility for the programme requires the following prerequisites to apply.
a. the vehicle is older than 7 years after initial registration date, and
b. the vehicle is part of the Service Select portfolio and covered by the Mercedes-Benz StarParts portfolio.
The following model series are generally excluded:
- Battery electric vehicles (BEV)
- All AMG variants
- G-Class
- GLS-Class
- S-Class
- SL-Class
- CL-Class
- V-Class
- Vito
- X-Class
- Citan
- T-Class
- Sprinter
And the following vehicles aren’t applicable due to age and/or StarParts availability:
- A-Class (168)
- C-Class (201, 202)
- CLK-Class (208)
- CLS-Class (257)
- E-Class (114, 115, 123, 124, 210)
- GLE-Class (167)
- M-Class (163)
- SLK/SLC (170)
3. The programme can only be utilised by private customers.
4. The Service Select programme makes use of Mercedes-Benz StarParts and includes a minimum 25% discount on labour, Mercedes-Benz GenuineParts (if no Mercedes-Benz StarParts are available), and operating materials used by a Mercedes-Benz Authorised Repairer after agreeing to the repair order, and on services provided by a participating Mercedes-Benz Authorised Repairer. The discount applies exclusively to the following services:
- Maintenance services: Execution of Service A and Service B in accordance with service sheet, including mileage- and running time-based additional work.
- Brakes: Replacement of brake pads or brake discs individually or as a package.
- Wiper blades: Renewal of the front and / or rear wiper blades including fitting materials.
5. The programme is offered by participating Mercedes-Benz Authorised Repairers in the United Kingdom only.
6. The programme cannot be used in conjunction with any Mercedes-Benz Service Plan, which is a separate customer programme with further details available on request, or any other discounts/services. There is no cash alternative.
7. Upon confirming a workshop booking, the general repair conditions of the respective participating Authorised Repairer apply in their current version. Should any additional work requirements be identified by an Authorised Repairer during the completion of work, the customer shall be contacted by the Authorised Repairer to request authorisation to complete any such additional work, and the Customer will be liable to the Authorised Repairer for any such additional costs as agreed – and may not benefit from such similar discounts to that within Service Select Programme. The Customer should always refer to the Owner’s Manual of their vehicle for the exact servicing schedule and requirements.
8. Excluded from the programme’ s discount are all services not covered by the programme. In particular, these include:
a. ad Blue (except where specifically required for Service Select services),
b. perfume atomiser,
c. aggregate assemblies,
d. accident and damage repairs,
e. wheels and tyres,
f. accessories and collection items,
g. all third-party services,
h. complete and fixed prices such as vehicle care, vehicle registration, HU/AU, and maintenance work,
i. purchase of spare parts without the provision of workshop services, or the use of used Mercedes-Benz Genuine Parts.
Right of Amendment and Termination
9. Mercedes-Benz UK is entitled to amend or terminate the Mercedes-Benz Service Select programme and these terms of participation at any time, including amending the offer, the list of Eligible Model Series, or any other term. Any amendment or termination will be notified by MBUK to the customer via email, at least one month before their planned effect date. In the case of an amendment, if the customer does not cancel their Mercedes-Benz Service Select participation via the Mercedes-Benz Portal within one month after the date of the amendment notice, the amendment shall enter into effect for the customer. No such amendment will require the customer to pay any amount unless they actively agree to. The customer can cancel their Mercedes-Benz Service Select registration via the Mercedes-Benz Portal at any time if they no longer wish to participate.
Information and Status Regarding Participation in the Programme
10. Information on automatic renewal, objection, or termination of the programme, customer and vehicle data can be viewed, changed, and deleted at any time in your personal Mercedes-Benz account.
11. The programme does not have a planned end date and is currently offered indefinitely.
12. If you no longer wish to participate in the programme, please cancel or unsubscribe from within your Mercedes-Benz account, or with your participating Mercedes-Benz Authorised Repairer.
13. A list of participating Mercedes-Benz Authorised Repairers can be found using the link provided on the participation certificate.
14. If you are no longer the owner of the vehicle registered in your Mercedes-Benz account, your participation in the Service Select programme may be terminated.
Data Protection
15. Once you present your digital certificate of participation for the programme to a participating Mercedes-Benz Authorised Repairer within the framework of the repair order, this company processes the data collected within the framework of the repair order for the calculation of the intended discount. Selected service providers are also used for this purpose, who process personal data on behalf of the collecting Mercedes-Benz Authorised Repairer. Furthermore, further use of the data may occur based on any consent you may have given. In this case, the data collected will be used for advertising purposes based on this consent, provided you have expressly agreed to this.
16. The data required for the processing of the programme will generally be stored for a maximum of 12 weeks after the end of your participation to enable internal calculation of the specified discount. If this is required due to legal retention obligations or data needed for other purposes in the Mercedes-Benz Portal, your data may be stored for a longer period.
17. You have the right to obtain information about the processing of your personal data, to have your data deleted, to assert your right to correct your date, to exercise your right to object, or to exercise your right to data portability. Furthermore, you can always send a complaint to us or the competent supervisory authority. You can find further, extensive information on data protection under the Privacy Policy section on the Mercedes-Benz UK website (located at Privacy Policy | Mercedes-Benz).
18. The Customer may contact Mercedes-Benz regarding questions and complaints about delivered services via the Customer Assistance Centre on (00800) 9777 7777 or by email to cs.uk@cac.mercedes-benz.com. These terms are governed by English law, and the Customer can bring legal proceedings in respect of the services in the English courts. If the Customer lives in Scotland, they can bring legal proceedings in respect of the services in either the Scottish or the English courts.
