AMG-specific radiator grille

Features of the new Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ that will strike you at first glance include the AMG-specific A-shape radiator grille and the updated front apron with special chrome front splitter and modified air intakes. The new design of the flat LED headlamps is likewise unmistakable.
AMG rear apron and AMG exhaust system

The new rear view, with its two-piece rear lights featuring a new internal design, the new rear apron and the selectable AMG exhaust system with specific round twin tailpipe trim elements, is a compelling proposition in every respect. And that's exactly what we were aiming for - appealing, but never obtrusive.
AMG light-alloy wheels

The exterior design of the Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ with expressive AMG bodystyling is already a statement for dynamism even when the car is at a standstill. Distinctive details such as the new, aerodynamically optimised 48.3 cm (19-inch) AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels serve to accentuate the vehicle's performance aspirations.

Touchpad in the centre console

The touchpad allows you to control the display of the MBUX as you would with a smartphone. Further control elements are arranged around the display panel, giving you direct access at any time to important functions such as the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs, vehicle functions, navigation or telephony.
AMG Performance seats

The optional AMG Performance seats for the driver and front passenger, in black/titanium grey pearl nappa leather with red contrasting topstitching, sum up the AMG philosophy neatly: maximum sportiness in the seating position and thus maximum assurance of handling. They also make a clear visual statement.
Digital cockpit

Visually speaking, the two screens for the instrument cluster and multimedia displays merge behind a single panel to create the Widescreen Cockpit. For the instrument cluster, the customer can switch between the three AMG display styles of "Modern Classic", "Sport" and "Supersport". The "Supersport" mode, with its central round rev counter and bar graph-type additional information displays to the left and right of the rev counter, is particularly striking.

that until now were the preserve of the eight-cylinder models. Highlights include the RACE drive program with Drift mode. It all adds up to an even more emotional driving experience.

The system functions fully automatically according to the given situation: parameters include the speed, the demand from the cooling fan and the coolant and air temperature.

The AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G, which is fitted as standard, combines efficiency, dynamism and safety. Its extremely short shift times, fast reactions to commands from the shift paddles, double-clutching function
and multiple downshifts are particularly compelling. Particularly in the "Sport+" drive program and manual mode, the transmission is very spontaneous in its response.

Depending on the drive program, the sound characteristics change from unobtrusive comfort to maximum emotive appeal.
