Roadside Assistance helps drivers when their car is unable to reach their destination. If you break down away from your house, we will send somebody to try and fix the problem at the roadside. If this can’t be done, we’ll take your car to your home, or your preferred Retailer. We’ll do our best to help you, whether it’s a flat tyre, empty battery or a problem that requires towing.

Comprehensive Roadside Assistance comes free-of-charge for 3 years with any new Mercedes-Benz or 1 year with all Approved Used cars.

Cover is also available for customers with cars registered from 24 October 1998* and is automatically activated/renewed on completion of a service by a Mercedes-Benz Retailer.

Rescue Assist from Mercedes-Benz.

The latest innovation in vehicle safety.

Rescue Assist is a new safety system from Mercedes-Benz that uses QR (Quick Response) Rescue Codes to give emergency services faster access to critical information at the scene of an accident.

All new Mercedes-Benz models are fitted with Rescue Assist QR Rescue Codes during production. For cars manufactured from 1990 onwards, Mercedes-Benz is offering a free-of-charge retro-fit service.

How does Rescue Assist work?

At an accident scene, emergency services need certain information about the vehicle involved - for example, its structural framework or the location of hazardous systems such as batteries and fuel tanks - to enable a safe, fast rescue operation.

Previously, they relied on large catalogues or on-board data terminals to provide this. But these systems are time-consuming and can become outdated.

With Rescue Assist, they simply use a mobile device to scan QR Rescue Code stickers located on the vehicle. This gives them accurate vehicle schematics within seconds, saving them precious time in the race to release trapped occupants.
