Mercedes-Benz UK COVID-19 statement.

Daimler AG is continuously monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 in order to be able to react to the dynamically changing situation at any time and to adapt our measures accordingly.

The health and safety of our customers, employees and business partners is our top priority and these measures are constantly updated, guided by current alerts and information from the World Health Organization (WHO).

Mercedes-Benz Cars UK under the guidance of Daimler AG has a dedicated local team monitoring the UK Government’s national and international guidelines to contain the virus.

Due to the worsening situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, Daimler has suspended the majority of its production in Europe as well as work in selected administrative departments for an initial period of two weeks. By taking this action, the company is following the recommendations of international, national and local authorities. Wherever operations need to be continued, the company will take appropriate precautions to prevent the infection of its employees. An extension of this measure will depend on further developments.

With these measures, Mercedes-Benz is helping to protect its workforce, to interrupt chains of infection and to contain the spread of the pandemic.

Following the UK Government’s announcement, all Mercedes-Benz Cars showrooms are closed as of 24 March 2020. The majority of workshops will remain open with a limited team to accommodate breakdowns and the service of critical workers’ cars.
