The vehicle must be also paired with the corresponding user account. Upon expiry of the initial term, the services can be renewed for a fee, provided they are still offered for the corresponding vehicle at that point. First-time activation of the services is possible within one year of initial registration or commissioning by the customer, whichever comes first.

With Mercedes me Charge, the user has optional access to one of the world's largest charging networks with over 900 different public charging station operators in Europe.

To use the Mercedes me Charge service, a charging contract with a selected third-party provider is required.

Depending on the manufacturer, 22 kW charging may require the relevant special equipment ‘Alternating current charging system (22 kW AC charging)’. If this is not the case, the wallbox or Flexible Charging System automatically charges the vehicle with the maximum charging power possible. The maximum charging power of the charging station must be adapted to the upstream installation (cable cross-section and fuse protection).

In order to use the remote functions of the Mercedes Benz Wallbox and receive over-the-air updates, the Mercedes me App, a personal Mercedes me ID and agreement to the terms of use for the Mercedes me connect services are required. To receive over-the-air updates, you must agree to the respective update in the Mercedes me App or give your general consent in the Mercedes me App to receiving all future updates.
