Stuttgart / Mannheim – The handball squad of handball Bundesliga team "Die Eulen Ludwigshafen", or "Die Eulen" for short, has grown by one: a Mercedes-Benz Tourismo M will support the team in the coming season and accompany them to their games. The bus operator Stefan Mayer Reisen will take on driving for the club. "Die Eulen", only just promoted to the top level of the handball Bundesliga, turned up on 1 August 2017 with almost the entire team for collection. The symbolic key was accepted by Stefan Mayer, Managing Director of Stefan Mayer Reisen, and Eulen Managing Director Marcus Endlich from Robert Wilhelm, Head of Sales, Mercedes-Benz Bus and Coach unit South West region.
After its presentation, "Die Eulen" were able to design the new, azurite blue Tourismo M to their own tastes, both inside and out. The outer design is mainly determined by the emotional club badge: an owl with a handball in its talons. On the inside, the first thing to notice are the club tables with vis-à-vis seating and the luxurious upholstered seats in Luxline design. There are a total of 40 seats. There is access to the 230 volt on-board power supply from every double seat. Alongside the on-board toilet there is also a refrigerator. The space on the WC roof is taken up by a larger automatic coffee machine, which can supply the players with the required dose of caffeine at any time.
The media offer is ensured by the provision of internet access via Wi-Fi as well as a SAT system with Sky reception and three 19 inch LCD screens.
