The idea for the tour came from the Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH. This company is responsible for the route, the marketing and sales. Since its introduction in early July 2014 the offer has enjoyed great demand and in a very short time became a true tourist attraction point. Over 16,000 visitors have done the STUTTGART Citytour since it began. The great demand for this offer is compounded by an impressive synergy between the Hop-on / Hop-off bus and the Tourist Information system, which is reflected in the growing number of visitors. Citytour participants can also avail themselves of other tourist offers at the i-Punkt (starting and finishing point of the route). For instance in the first month of operation, July, visitor numbers increased by 7000, taking the number of people visiting the i-Punkt in that month to a total of 53,500. "The acceptance and response enjoyed by the cabriolet double-decker buses exceeds our expectations, and we are sure this offer will become firmly established in Stuttgart", states Armin Dellnitz, manager of Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH, drawing a first interim balance. "From the very start this idea was coupled to high quality specifications. The Mercedes is now the jewel on the crown. This unique bus makes our offer even more attractive and becomes itself a tourist highlight", Dellnitz continues.
